Never Giving Up!

8/4/14 - Ok everybody, here I am with trying to start again! It's been quite the journey so far. Ups and downs and going back and forth with the same numbers since the end of 2012. I joined SP in Sept. 2011 and over the next year, I lost 67#, plateaued forever and put around 20# back on, give and take over the next couple of years. I feel that I need to be more diligent at doing low carb as good as I can and staying in my low carb ranges. If I can do that the majority of each week, I know that I'll lose. It's tough with exercising but I can at least pedal on my recumbent bike. I love that and I try to stay on it until I still love it! That's how I used to lose the weight. Up the exercise with what I can do. So here's to me! I can do it with all my wonderful, awesome Sparking friends! My goal is 155# from what my dr. told me in 2011. He said to get down to there and go from there. Well, I keep plugging along at it and will get there in 2014. I can feel it now!!

My Program:
I'm making more healthy choices with food, paying more attention to exercise. I try to keep my goal in view every day.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from Seattle, WA and have lived in the Midwest for around 30 years now, married to my best friend. We own and operate our dairy farm. My husband and I have two grown children. Our daughter's married and our son farms with us full-time. We also have our beloved English Springer Spaniel named Hope! We love her undying love for us every day! We raise corn, soybeans, barley, alfalfa and wheat too sometimes. I love the distinct 4 seasons in the MIdwest, but not always the extreme temp. of heat and humidity in the summer and the cold winds along with snow in the winter. But we know that the things we don't care for as much, find us enduring and then that builds character! I love gardening, baking, collecting, shopping, sewing, music, singing, piano, painting, decorating, embroidery. I hope to become more and more healthy that I can enjoy all of these things more.

Hi Karen, I just got back from a walk without my husband he had other plans but I am committed to losing weight. I walked 30 minutes, burned 199 and went 1.65 miles .
