Past time for a change.

Hi, my name is Rosezetta. I have been seriously over weight for the last ten years. The weight just slowly crept up on me. My partner made a comment about it years ago, and I was so mad, I could not see her side of the coin. Here I am almost 200lbs later, wishing I would have listened a little more, instead of reacting.

I rarely ever look in the mirror, because what I see is a big blob of fat, with no features. I never considered myself to be an ugly person, but looking at all the changes fat has made to my body, I am not so sure any more. It makes you more of a recluse. You don't want to go out anywhere, because you probably won't fit in the seats. You don't want to go to anyone house, cause you are scared you might break their furniture. Clothes are expensive, not cute, and hard to find. Just breathing is a chore.

I am 33 yrs old, and there are so many things I want to do before I am called home. And a lot of those things at this weight are impossible to do.

So here I am. Wanting, needing, trying to a better, healthier, saner person.

My Goals:
My goals are just to be healthier. To be able to enjoy/live life, and not just exist. To stop using food as my super sexy bestie.

Other Information:
I love to read, and watch movies. My fav genre is paranormal. I swear if the monsters were real, I would definitely be a vampire. LOL.

I love to watch romance movies, and almost anything sci-fi. I can get into a good suspense or drama movie also.

I use to love to write poems and short stories, but the inspiration has not been there as of late.

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Trying to do anything when working night shift is very difficult. One way that might help is to look at your day upside down. Your "day" is actually night, and your "night" is actually day. So you have to reverse most of your activities. Exercising as soon as possible after waking can really set you up for a good day. So try to set a goal to exercise at least three times a week at first. Make it a priority for you.

Also use the motivational tools on here to help you. Print motivational pictures and post them throughout the house. Set up a reward for yourself like a manicure, but you only get it if you accomplish your goals.

Most importantly ALWAYS remember that you are not alone. You can do this, every little step counts. We all have bad days or bad weeks. Beating yourself up will only make you feel worse and will lead to emotional eating and will repeat over and over again. You must accept the bad days with the good. Pick yourself up and move on to the next day. Everyday is a new beginning.

No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone sitting on the couch!

I'm here to help anytime.
