Baby Steps

I found SP while looking for a nutrition calculator and was amazed and grateful to discover that it's so much more than that.

I know from experience that making small, consistent positive changes snowballs into an avalanche of change. I didn't know that I would need to pay attention to every day if I wanted to hang on to the benefits of those changes. I didn't know that nothing is or can be allowed to be more important than health. Not studying. Not chores. Not even family ...

Each day I will....
Drink 8 glasses of water.
Eat within my meal plan
Work on a step in Beck Diet Solution
Do at least 10 minutes of exercise.

Personal Information:
I'm from Seattle Washington and I LOVE to hike. Love, love, love to hike!

Other Information:
I have juvenile diabetes which puts an extra wrinkle into exercise, like checking blood sugar in the middle of a long run and carrying juice.

I'm midway through nursing school where I am probably the oldest nursing student ever.

Uncle Marty's book is the definitive work on ASL - I think it's on CD or DVD or something.

Uncle Marty passed away a few years ago - his long time significant other inherited to royalties, though all of us nieces and nephews had to sign a release of rights. But the book and spinoffs are doing quite well!

Thank you so much for the Spark goodie running shoes. It is true that I must replace my runners at least twice a year. The get a lot of mileage on them even being a great brand (Saucony)

Thanks for the measuring cups goodie! Although my plan is basically a half-plate of veggies, I do use measuring cups everyday in my kitchen :)
