2011 - Time for a new Me!

2011 - brings the sad realization that although I spent most of 2010 talking about changing my life - I never did it. Who's fault it that? MINE! I was the one who was all talk and no action. I am praying that with God's help - 2011 will bring actual change, resulting in a new healthier me. And today is Day 1. Breakfast is logged. Lunch is packed, Dinner is planned. Let this be the the path of change for me!

I am praying that with God's help - 2011 will bring actual change, resulting in a new healthier me. And today is Day 1. Breakfast is logged. Lunch is packed, Dinner is planned. Let this be the the path of change for me!

I am trying something new with my tracker this time. I am setting mini-goals. Instead of thinking about ALL the weight I want to lose. I am going to do it in stages. Stage one is about 25 lbs. This seems more managable than thinking of the entire 50+ lbs that I need to lose.

My first goal is to lose the first 25 lbs before we go to Florida at the end of March. Just over 2 lb a week - should be do-able!

2010 as brought me to the realization that every year, I make the same commitment to myself and every year, I let myself down.

So this year, I am starting out different - Praying for His help with this battle! Only He can show me that I have the ability and drive to do this. I need to stop relying on myself, who is week, and rely on He who is strong.

4/6/10 ---- update....
Still struggling to get started but still determined to get there. Just got back from a nice 40 minute walk. Hopefully this is the start of something good!

5/6/10 ----UPDATE...
I finally feel like I am gaining control again. I am on Day 4 of good healthy eating, and loggin my food. I am drinking my water, and I have gotten 2 workouts in and will do another one tonight. And ya know what? IT FEELS GOOD!

8/31/10 - Update...
Summer was rough - I let myself relax too much and do too little. Weight Loss and Exercise were on the back burner as always. But my NSD group it back up and running and I have pledged to get back on track. I also joinged the fall Biggest Loser Team again, so I am double accountable. I am still struggling to get started, but I will do it this time. NO MORE EXCUSES!

Sept 2010 is it! The time when I finally get my act into gear and start taking care of me again. I have been working our pretty regularly for 3 weeks now. (4-6 times per week) I have lost 5 lbs and I am finally seeing results. My clothes are fitting better and my husband says he can "see" the results of my working out - no mater what the number on the scale says!

I just have to stay focused and remember that I CAN DO THIS! I DESERVE THIS and I can't wait to see the final results!

Thank you for the comment on my page! Running has really given me a whole new outlook on exercise and how an "athlete" is defined. I am always thrilled at finding other runners on SP, especially your non-tradition type athletes. Are you working on a training program? Are you planning on doing any races?
