I've never felt completely in shape, or happy with my body, even though I've been fairly active my whole life. It's time to test myself to see if I really can get into the best shape of my life! In the process I hope to develop healthier eating habits and attitudes toward my body image.

My Goals:
Learn to accept the genes I've been given and work to make them the best they can be! I'm hoping to lose a few pounds in the process but it's really more about being healthy and toning up.

My Program:
DVDs (Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, Insanity, P90x...) barre classes, other at-home workouts

*Focus on eating freggies, clean poultry, fish, and meat, low fat dairy, and nuts
*Drinking only water, tea, coffee
*Limit added sugar as much as possible



I believe an occasional indulgence (in moderation) is worth it!

Personal Information:
I'm 28 years old living in the DC metro area, originally from the New England area.

I live with my wonderful boyfriend of 7+ years and my beautiful fur-baby, my ragdoll kitty.

I've been a dancer most of my life (jazz, contemporary, ballet...) and since transitioning out of school I've gotten out of dancing and really miss it. But, it caused knee problems (I've had meniscus surgery) so now I'm about finding other ways to stay active and get fit.

I love being outdoors and traveling!

Thanks for the encouraging blog comment! It's true... student life does not easily go hand in hand with healthy life. My stress levels are through the roof and I'm doing the best I can to manage it in a healthy way emoticon
