my ultimate goal is to live a long healthy life for myself and my family:) i started at 298 and want to be 175 in the next year.

My Program:
cardio 5-6 times a week
weight training 3 times a week
every now and then a work out video
eating within my calories

If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW. Not for any grand cause, necessarily...but for something that tugs at your heart, something that's your inspiration, something that's your dream.

You owe it to yourself to make your days here count. HAVE FUN. DIG DEEP. STRETCH. DREAM BIG. Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days. And there will be bad days. There will be times when you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits. Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.

PERSIST. Because with an idea, determination, and the right tools, you can do great things. Let your instincts, your intellect, and your heart, guide you.

Hello ! I'm thrilled that you've joined us!! Warm welcomes to Overcoming Obstacles!" (A place where people share successes, personal stories, insight, motivation, jokes, recipes, common goals and LOVE) I can recommend reading some of the past posts, just to become familiar with who is who, etc. Then, maybe post an obstacle you're overcoming, or have overcome. There are quite a few different topics listed, like "jokes" or "motivation", "wheres' everyone from", "weigh in room" etc.... if you like, I hope you will come and introduce yourself in the "disabilities group forum" topic, and reply to any of the ones already created. There are many little challenges posted too, to give us a little "spark". The "disabilities group forum" is the main discussion area, even though many of the team doesn't have a disability, and some do, it is for everyone to congregate in, and know they are NOT alone.

There are challenges going on every week, some are on going, some are for a week, or a month..if you would like to create a challenge , please feel free to sparkmail me by Thursday, and I am able to add it to the list of challenges on my sparkpage :o) & to have a structured schedule for every week..

~ Challenges are now listed at the bottom of my sparkpage, to make it easier to find the challenges that may suit your needs~

I want you to know, too.. I was a councellor before I ended up in my wheelchair, and if you ever want to vent, or want insight in any way at all.. I hope you will feel free and confident to contact me at any time..... sparkmail is an awesome feature :o)
