Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am a mom of two and have been married for 16 years, Like most I grew up a large girl, Topping out at 265,( I am only 5'2) at that point I was 17 and developed Diabetes.(of course!), I have seen my goal weight once of 135, for two weeks and then I got pregnant.
I lost weight again, But it was because I developed Kidney failure, I receive a kidney about a year and a half ago and since then I have gain 20 pounds, I would like to blame it on the anti rejection drugs, but I can't, I was just starved for so long, and wasn't able to eat that I took advantage of my appetite, Feeling hungry and then full again just felt so good ! Not to mention I did not have anymore food restrictions.
Now that old eating patterns have resurfaced and realizing that I never really tackled my eating habits, I have made a promise to my self that I would deal with this at this point in my life.
I want to remain healthy and active . I want to learn to control portions and feel the benefits of exercise. I do not really care if I ever see 135 again as long as I feel good about what I am eating and how I feel, I want to get it all in control, and keep it that way !
To stop nibbling when
I cook !
Exercise 30 min. Every day.
To stop eating after 8:00pm every night.
To set a good example for my kids !
to appreciated everyday that I am alive !
to relize that I am in control of what I do !
I will follow the Sparkpeople program, and eat healthy fruits and veggies, and cut out the BACON, wine and boredom!!!
I am from good 'ole Nashville TN! I am a mother of 2, I am a emotional eatter as well as bored-eatter, double whammy i guess ! I also have a really bad habit of taking a bite here or a bit there, How do you count it in the Nutritional counter?

Wow, you are really coming along with the fitness minutes! Way to go!
That's the one thing that I am struggling to work into my schedule right now.

Finding time to exercise is my biggest challenge. I usually don't get home until 6:30 or 7:00, and some nights it's as late as 8:00 or 9:00. In order to get a workout in, I have to get up an hour early and do it before I leave for school. But getting out of bed at 4:45 am to work is a challenge sometimes!
I haven't tried any of the SP recipes. I've saved a few that sounded good, but I haven't tried them yet. Do you have any recommendations?

Hey, how are you? Thanks for adding me as a friend. It 's good to see a familiar face here on SparkPeople.
How's the healthy eating going for you? Weekends are usually my downfall, but I've done really well this weekend.
