In June 2013 I had a life and death scare. It turned out I have a fibroid. I hemorrhaged, literally almost hemorrhaged to death. I was thinking at first that it was just a heavy cycle, it kept going, and after 2 weeks it had not let up, I began to get weak, after 3 weeks I started to lose my strength and color. When I finally went to the doctor my red blood cell count was in the 3''s. I was quickly admitted to the hospital where i was immediately hooked up to a heart monitor and given blood transfusions. I was given a total of 8 transfusions in the next couple of days, the doctor was stumped at how to stop the bleeding, and I was way too weak for surgery otherwise I would have had a hysterectomy. I was finally given an extreme dose of estrogen, which somehow actually worked to get my body to stop bleeding. It also caused me to gain about 35 pounds which made me so overweight I could only fit into my most generous elastic waisted pants.
After 6 days in the hospital I finally went home, my blood cell count was up to about 7.2 but I was very weak. It took months to build my strength back up to walk across a parking lot, 6 months to lose the excess water weight, and a year until I was mentally back to normal.
One of the biggest things my Dr told me at my post 1 month checkup, was he told me fat and chemicals store in the body as the adipose tissue, that excess adipose tissue converts to estrogen and fuels cancers and fibroids. *mind blown*!! He goes on to say if I want, I can probably get rid of the fibroid by eliminating anything that would fuel it: processed foods, gmo''s, chemicals and parabens.

I''''ve been doing a lot of research into chemicals in our foods and products and really taking total inventory of everything I come in contact with and have had to make some dramatic changes with everything. I have cut out anything that has ingredients that link to soy, estrogen, preservatives, chemicals, and GMO''''s. I''''ve swapped out all my products and foods over to organic and paraben/chemical free.

And the best part...I still have my uterus!

My Goals:
Sept 2015
Ready and motivated to shed this extra weight once and for all. I plan to lose at least 36 pounds by the end of 2015, minimum of 2 pounds per week is completely manageable.

Surpassed my recent weight loss goal and lost 55. New goal is to lose another 55.

My Program:
1. Focus on low calorie, not processed foods that contain no soy or gmo's; primarily organic foods.
2. Extend my walks with the dog to 3x/day at least 15-30 minutes.
3. Go to the gym to do elliptical &/or treadmill minimum 30 minutes/day 3 days/wk.
4. Stength training circuit 2 days/wk
5. Meditate minimum 30 mins each night.

Personal Information:
I was Born and raised in San Diego County. I don't really get out much and enjoy it though, but I'm going to change that.
I have overcome some health issues that caused me to be a homebody, I'm making it my goal to get out and get active at least one day each weekend, either going to s museum, going to the park, going to visit friends, something that keeps me active and not home where I'll want to sit and eat.

Other Information:
I've been saying for years I want to start my business in my spare time, and now I'm in a networking group that is helping motivate me to get it going. I'm active on my business Facebook page posting tips at least 1x per week, getting ready to file my fbn and start my website up again and launch.
