I have been reading The Spark, (ever so slowly), and one of the first things you have to do is set goals, well I have set mine to paper finally, makes them more permanent for me so I have to make sure I follow them.
The most important one for me is the weight loss goal I have set for myself...... I would love to lose the weight that I need to this year and then maintain it after that so I broke it down to 12 little goals and that is to lose 5 lbs in a month, that is doable and wont kill me in the process. I can lose those five pounds just by making little changes when they are needed.
Secondly is to make sure I get my exercising in to help with the first goal......
Thirdly is to get my finances in order, and I am slowly working on that one, I should be doing ok come the end of the year.
So away I go to a better healthier and better financial life.
I have decided FOR THE LAST TIME that I have to get this done.
I have to lose 62 pounds in order to be at my happy weight, and that is ironic because that is where I wanted to be in the first place ( 160 punds ).
So I started eating better and also got back into my exercising yesterday, felt good after I did that too. I am dealing with major headaches but I also know that that will subside as the days go by and then I will feel better for it.
I know it wont be easy, but what is in life..... I have to say NO to things that are offered to me that I should not be eating. If I feel that absolutely need to have some of it I will do as another member had mentioned and eat no more then three small bites and ask for it to be removed from the table.... point blank!!!!!
This is for me and no one else, I have put others before me long enough and will do what I need to do for me. I NEED to be in better health in order to be around for my grandkids and to see my son get married SOMEDAY. I hate being short of breath and feeling sick all the time, so it is time to do this for me........
I again have 60 lbs to lose, I had thought I was doing good with LA but ran into some issues and am no longer with them, I am hoping with all hope that I can achieve and maintain my goal with the help of all the fine people here on spark people, I going to be giving it all that I have in order to get there.
Support at the homefront is not really there, I LOVE my boyfriend dearly but he thinks I'm fine the way that am so I am basicly on my own and have to control what I do and eat on my own, and at his house its not exactly the healthiest of meals at times...... I WILL DO THIS......
I have four wonderful grandkids that I want to watch grow up and graduate and get married so I need to do this for them also..... BUT mainly for me
Despite having a really hard time at work lately and a little bit of stress at home, I have been happy with my choices of what I have eaten, I make low fat, low sugar deserts for home and I have 100 calorie snack packs if I get a hankering for something sweet at work.
I have shocked myself that I so look forward to stepping on a scale to see what I will weigh. No matter if it is going to be up or down or even the same, it doesn't matter to me, just so long as I feel better physically and emotionally.
I have started exercising daily, nothing drastic, and I am waiting for my Leslie DVD's to get here to add some variety to the mix.
I have set a time to be down 50 lbs by the end of summer by joining a challenge on here..... I am taking my granddaughters to see Miley Cyrus in Nebraska on October 2nd, so I would love to be down quite a bit by then........
