My name is Eve. The older you get the harder to lose! I have spent my entire life as a slim, healthy woman. Then at the age of 50 my slim, trim 124 zoomed up to 150 -- and while that may seem like nothing to some of you; I am only 5'2" tall, and it happened seemingly overnight. I can truthfully say this happened right before my eyes without me seeing it. In fact, as the years went by I became used to the new weight and ignored it. Little by little the scale found its way up to 162. By the time I turned 69 I decided it was time to take action and in Dec. '07 I joined SP. It's been a learning experience, but I wanted to go slow and steady, and did just that.

For me, it's not a DIET, it's a new Healthy Lifestyle, a change in your habits and activity level and is something that will be with me forever! At the present time I am close to my goal, but even at this weight, I'm not unhappy.

I am staying positive and try to adapt to the changes that come into my life; just looking for the best in life, it's the only way to stay young and healthy. It's wonderful that people of any age can attain it ~~like that elusive fountain of youth, and that's my goal in life! Remember, "life is what you make it!"

By the way, if you're looking for friends -- you're in the right place! EVERYONE on here is a friend and we most likely have the same attitude about healthy living!

My Goals:
I've raised the bar on my goal, now want to get to 130 lbs. WooHoo!

Short term:
Make sure my BMI stays in the healthy zone!

My Program:
I monitor very closely what I eat, I am staying on a healthy food plan. I know that fats/ sugars are bad for me so those get eaten in very small portions. I don't cut anything out of my diet completely, just limit the portion.

I exercise 3 to 4 times per week, walk every day and drink water always!

Personal Information:
Originally from MN, have lived in CA & NV --now AZ I got married Jan. 2011 and live in Sun City, AZ with my DH, a Scottie (Amber) and a Tabby cat named Luci. Summers are in the mountains at a 5000-foot elevation. My hobbies include writing, painting with acrylic and I love interior decorating, I dabble at making quilts.

Other Information:
I'm a senior citizen and loving it. I never thought 76 could look or feel this good. I'm looking forward to the "rest of my life."

Good afternoon.
I also have backslid the last 5-6 days.
We were away for a long weekend with family and there was very
little healthy food. I usually take my own food so I don't get stuck and
I did not do that and we were snowed in and could not get to the store. I also did not exercise while I was away.
Today was a great day. Back on track and feeling so much better.
We are not going on a cruise. We are going to a resort in Puerto Rico.
We leave March 8. My daughter has been there and said I will have plenty of healthy choices and lots of opportunity to exercise and stay active. I can't wait.
