My Goals:
My goals are to simplify my focus to just one or two things to change in my life. When I meet those goals, I'll progress to new goals. This is about much more than weight.

I am a retired educator with a love of learning.

Other Information:
I love to read mysteries, adventures, romances, the backs of cereal boxes and anything else that crosses the paths of my eyes. I knit (scarves) love to travel, and my favorite TV shows are "Creature Comforts" and "Numb3rs". I also watch PBS Mysteries. I dabble in watercolors and have posted a few on this site.

I eat a lot of beans, lentils, protein drinks, greek yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese, nuts, soy,low-fat string cheese , etc.. I get about 45 - 50 grms per day but the dr wants me to get 65 gms. It's difficult.
fLAX seed has some protein, but is known more for fiber and amino acids. I take 2 tablespoons a day. Protein drinks provide a lot of protein...they help a lot without adding a lot of calories. You have to watch the nuts. I take 10 nuts at a time, twice or three times a day depending on what else I eat that day. It's really a balancing act!!!

Hello Scorpio, having read your comment about being followed by a nutritionist I'd really like to know how your protien requirements are met; I live in france and keep being told that, as a vegetarian, my protein requirements can never be met without blowing the calorie "budget" totally. They keep saying that it is essential that I eat either chicken or fish at least once a day but for me that is not an option. Any advice? Oh, and is flax seed high in protien? Thanks.
