Fulfilling a promise

Four years ago I lost about 50 lbs then my DF was diagnosed with cancer. With all the trips to hospital for treatment and trying to get him to eat (all he wanted was pasta) I gained most of it back. Sadly he died two years ago. The evening of his death he made me promise to lose the weight I had gained and to meet the goal I set. Finally on the anniversary of his death, I decided it was time to get back on track

Oh, my goodness, I am sorry to hear about your neighbor! What a tragedy, must be terrible for his family. At least my bruises will heal, and we made it through the storm with no damage to anything execpt my legs and my pride.

Thanks for dropping by my page. Our previous dog's long hair wasn't trimmed but, living in the country, she had to be groomed once in a while. The long hair on her tummy and by her tail would get full of dirt, burrs, etc. At least the short-hairs don't have that problem. So I guess it all evens out in the long run. We just love our buddies the way they are!!

Thank you for sharing your comments about your diverticulitis. I am glad it was the way you were diagnosed and then treated for the tumor. Wow! It never occurred to me that this pain could have a good purpose. I am very glad that you are doing so well now.

Thanks so much for your comments on my blog re the Van that wouldn't start. I thought that was so funny re opening the passenger door to get your book. We just have to laugh about it all, don't we? Congratulations on your weight loss! emoticon emoticon
