This is how I am in the morning...go figure...this has got to change!
It must, it truly must! Hi, I'm Charlene, aka Scialina, and I am part of this program because I need to lose weight, but most of all, I need to control my cholesterol and blood pressure. That's not a fun thing. Up until three years ago, I was a normal weight...and so was everything else. Cholesterol normal, blood pressure under control. Then I got a sit down job...and worked long hours. Now I weigh 206 and I need to get back to 140 lbs. I'd show you my picture, but I don't have one...and when I get it, I'll share it with you :-)
Reducing weight from 212 to 140 with a starting SP weight of 206. The doctor said that if I lost weight, then it would reduce cholesterol levels and also decrease my blood pressure and Sugar Levels. So I cut out Trans Fats, Partially Hydrogenated Oils, Saturated Fats, Cut out the xtramart coffees, Stopped eating fast food, use portion control, and it's all working. I'll know if the weight reduction reduces the cholesterol and sugar in a couple weeks.

On sparkpeople I try to stay communicative with others in my area as well as others my own age for moral support and guidance. Instead of relying on meal planning to use the meals, I use it to add foods to my meals so that I can use that part as a calorie and fat counter. I have also learned to write down each and every glass of water and piece of food that I put in my mouth so that I can enter it before I go to bed, or sometime I have free during the day. I also read the various entries, and the one thing that saved me a lot of difficulty was the suggestion to eat raisin bran for breakfast because it gives you the total fiber you need for a day. I use the food tracker, the excersize tracker, and almost anything else tracker,
My name is Charlene Kearley, and I'm from Binghamton NY in the United States of America. My ancestors come from the Ireland and Scicily,Italy locations. Not sure of my ancestors from the Kilgallon side, but am sure that the Coppola side comes from Sicily. My mom is one of the American Citizen originals from there. Which means my Gram and Grampa both came from Sicily. My name Scialina is how Gram spelled Charlene, and it stuck with much importance.
Movies, my favorites are xmen movies, movies with Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman and well, yeah, Gerard Butler and Hugh Jackman. I also like Halle Berry. My favorite television mini series are Roots, The Thornbirds (which I watched after reading the book), and I also enjoyed Shogun. Television shows, well, I like game shows that have intelligence.

Hello, I used the SP buddy search to find a SP buddy and your name came up.
I am looking for some one who is on the journey to a healthier future. I was reading your SP page and found that you have some of the same problems I have.
I have been dealing with high blood pressure for a little over 6 years. But, recently, it has gotten better. And I have been able to reduce my meds. How cool is that? I think the reason why is because I am exercising on a regular basis.
But, I have my ups and downs. So, I was looking for someone who was up to the journey to health with me.
