The above quote is the story of my life. I'm sure everyone can relate to it. Most of us use having a "bad day" as an excuse to put off trying to lose weight until tomorrow. I know that if I eat something bad, I immediately think I have failed for the day and won't try again until the next day when I can have a "fresh start." The above quote is the story of my life. I'm sure everyone can relate to it. Most of us use having a "bad day" as an excuse to put off trying to lose weight until tomorrow. I know that if I eat something bad, I immediately think I have failed for the day and won't try again until the next day when I can have a "fresh start." Unfortunately, that leads to a downward spiral of procrastination. Well, I'm here to try to change that. *Goal #1: Don't be so hard on yourself! You will eat bad foods! It's just part of life. But don't beat yourself up for it. Instead, if you overeat (or eat the wrong foods), use that to motivate you to work out! For the most part, motivation is only temporary, so get at it while it lasts--don't put it off until tomorrow, or you'll regret it. *Accomplish by: N/A - This is a forever goal! *Goal #2 - Lose 30+ pounds You have wanted this for a really long time, but mostly for the wrong reasons. You've wanted this so that you would "look good." But after looking beyond appearance, you need to do this for your health. Lugging those extra pounds around really has taken a toll on your health. You're not as active as you used to be, and when you want to be active, you don't last very long. So lose this weight so you feel better about yourself! *Accomplish by: 7/16/2012 *Goal #3 - Run a half marathon Ah, another longtime goal of yours. You must be crazy...NAHHH! You're just ambitious. It's going to take a lot of training and hard work, but you can do it. Just get in shape now while you can, then it will be so much easier to achieve when the day comes. *Accomplish by: Whenever you find a date “There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” Consider me committed.
