I've had a lot of setbacks... Medical, Physical, Emotional, & Life Challenges. But I'm not going to let that stop me. This is only the beginning, but I WILL succeed.

My body has been through a lot. I've had 6 pregnancies, (and have 4 beautiful children that keep me busy). I've breastfed 5 children, for a total of 7.5 years. I've had 5 c-sections, gal bladder surgery, and bone tumor surgery. I've had heart issues, high blood pressure issues, stomach issues, low iron, thyroid issues, and memory issues. I've had to re-learn how to bear weight on my right side, how to walk, how to shake/wiggle my hips, how to find the "center" of my body (no leaning/limping), and how to find my balance again.

A year ago I was just released by the Dr. for exercise, but I could barely walk across my house. I've physically lost abilities that I wasn't even aware I'd lost. Abilities I didn't expect to lose until I was well into my 80's or better. And I'm only 33. It shouldn't be this way, and it's not going to be.

I started with water aerobics, and slowly moved up to other exercises. I can now walk 2.5 miles, and survive 60+ minutes of Zumba without my right foot/ankle/leg giving out. I can stand on one foot again, and even wear heals! I have come a long way in the past year. But I have a VERY long way to go still.

My Goals:
I need to get healthy to keep up with my kids!

I want to go from 230 to 150 lbs, so I have a loooong way to go! But I'm going to start with a smaller goal. I want to be around 180 by the end of June 2012 and I'm currently 213. (as of Feb 2012.)

I want to keep up on my water intake.

I want to learn recipes that are healthy, that my kids will enjoy, and that my husband will eat! lol

I am keeping one of my goals from before. I still want to SERIOUSLY LOWER MY STRESS LEVEL!


My Program:
My program is to simply "Get Moving". I want to exercise in some form, every single day, and work my way up to a completely active lifestyle again.
