I am a 34 year old woman from Washington and I weigh 160 lbs today, January 1st, 2008. Motivation has been the key hinderance to losing the weight I want to lose. My husband is about 80 pounds overweight and is not concerned about it (though I am for him!) and accepts me the way I am. Our 2 boys, ages 8 and 5 don't know mommy as any different, but their energy exhausts me. I used to be very active and even had trouble gaining weight in high school and college. I was 120 lbs when I got married 12 years ago and know that is not a realistic or even healthy weight for me now so 130 is my goal... my ribcage actaully stretched 4 inches while pregnant with my boys so weight hides well on my frame, but I know the difference and have far less energy than I know I CAN have. To top all this off I sustained a spinal injury 10 years ago, have had emergency sugery to reverse paralysis and live with chronic pain caused by an inoperable herniated disc just above the initial surgery site in my neck. I am unable to do most abdominal excercies... which is the area where I carry most of my weight. I have just been discharged form 7 years of on/off physical therapy and am failing miserably at maintaining a home therapy program. I am a strong Christian and look to the Lord to help me with all of this and could really use the encouragement of others along the way!

My Goals:
I would like to lose 30 pounds by May 2008 for our trip to Cancun! I want to increase my home physical therapy regimine to every other day from the 1 to 2 days a week I am able to do now.

My Program:
I am working really hard to restart my home physical therapy regimine and get those water ounces in me each day. I want to say as close to 1200 calories per day and lower my fat calories (my weakness!)

Personal Information:
I am from Washington. My oldest child struggles with bipolar disorder so my life is far from predictable and that makes a diet and excercise discipline very frustrating.

Other Information:
I have a spinal injury that prevents me from doing too many excercises and I am just coming off 9 years of physical therapy onto a home plan so the motivation to excercise at home is a particularly difficult challenge to me.
