I stumbled across SparkPeople by accident back in May of 2007 and I do believe it is one of the BEST things that has ever happened to me!

I know this journey IS different for EACH person, but I started with drinking my 8 glasses of water a day and logging my food. Let me just say that logging my food was a HUGE eye opener... DANGER! DANGER! From there I moved on to exercise which for me consists of walking, walking and yes, more WALKING... GRIN!

I honestly believe that if I can make the change... You can too!

I can think of so many ways that you are awesome so to only have to come up with 3 is truly hard to pick from!
1. You were the first SP friend that I have had motivate me to the weight loss success I have had so far! You are such an inspiration!
2. Being able to keep in touch with you on here and online has simply been so much fun, and I cannot wait to one day meet in person.
3. Your motivation to "Keep on keepin' on" is one of the many things that keeps me moving everyday!

emoticon Hope your little precious one is feeling alright, lots of little bugs out there at the moment. Make sure she drinks lots of water and gets plenty of rest!

One of my co-workers/friend brought me a bunch of scrapping items yesterday...hmmm, I am thinking about making little picture ornaments out of the stuff to hang on my Christmas "memory tree" of special people and pets that passed away. I started this years ago and once a year I put this mini tree up during the Christmas season...I only use pictures that make me laugh or smile, the sillier the better. I have one of a friend in these candy cane undies I got for him one year, he had his wife take tons of crazy pictures of him in them...of course they shared a few with me! ;-) He was such a character, life of the party, he would do anything for a laugh and I loved him dearly, he was so good and kind to me. One day he brought me a beautiful bunch of flowers, yeah, he had cut them out of my flower pots in the front of my house!!! Ha, ha! Several years ago my dear friend, unexpectantly died of a heart attack. I have a picture of my mom's pot belly pig in a Santa's hat (picture of him when he was all grown up) that I bought for her just shortly after he was old enough to leave his mother, the lady that sold him to me stated he would not get over 45 pounds. My dad said, "Yeah, with our luck, he will get over three hundred pounds!" I just laughed, but you know what Shelia, Corky did get up to 45 pounds and then he just kept growing and growing. He was raised in the house and that is where he remained until he passed away many years later. (He would go outside to go potty or to sun bathe, he would oink at the door whenever he wanted outside.) He had his very own mattress on the floor with a pillow and a blanket that was kept behind the wood burning stove, he love the warmth. He would go to bed and cover himself up, all we could see was his snout! Hee, hee! He was extremely clean, if his blanket had any dirt on it, he would rip it off his mattress and start oinking and oinking until my mom washed it or provided him with a fresh clean blanket. He loved me, of course, I found something to win him over with, I would feed him chocolated covered raisins every time I came up for a visit...I would buy him a little bag of them on my way up to Cole's Mountain. Anyways, I just put this tree up and it makes me smile over all the wonderful memories of the things I loved so dearly. So maybe today...I will work on these pictures to dress them up a bit more!

We did not make it to Quinault...we were told they were expecting five inches of snow the day that we were planning to go. Normally, that would not be a problem, but my 4-wheel drive has gone out of my vehicle and it is now like a gigantic sled on any slick surfaces. We went to Wal-Mart to get pet items and then to the Casino...I gave my daughter twenty dollars and she came out of the casino with one hundred dollars an hour later in her purse!!! WOO-HOO!!!
