I spent most of my 20s battling the bulge, getting fit and learning to appreciate my body. It was great: I became a runner, completing 3 marathons and a billion shorter races, I learned to kayak, I became comfortable in my own skin.

Then I went to law school.

Now it's time to undo some of the damage the last 3 years hath wrought.

My Goals:
* FInding healthier ways to deal with stress, anxiety and depression than sticking my head in the trough.

* Getting back into diesel physical condition.

My Program:
My program is astonishingly basic: Tracking every single thing I put in my mouth, drinking lots of water, and getting lots of varied exercise.

I'm a longtime vegetarian and (somewhat lapsed) runner, so I'm used to paying attention to my carb/protein/fat balance anyway.

There is no deprivation involved. I thrive on healthy, natural food, but as far as I'm concerned this includes things like locally-made gelato and dark chocolate.

Personal Information:
I'm a 30-something NYer living on Capitol Hill. Much to my surprise, I'm apparently a lawyer (or a reasonable facsimile) and I earn my keep making lawyer noises for the federal government. I live with two beautiful, beloved mutts and a fat, happy cat. I love to run, bike, spin, do yoga, kayak, hike and generally be active outdoors.

Other Information:
Other things I love, in no particular order, include: Yankees baseball, labor relations, music, friends and family, passionate quirky people, a really good cup of coffee, a sense of community, fresh produce, substantive legal issues, public radio, fresh cilantro, vegetarian cooking and roller derby.
