I'm a 28 yo lady who thought I had it all figured out. Life laughed at my foolishness and threw me a curve ball. On the path to figuring out what to do with myself now, I thought I'd start with getting healthier. I've been overweight my whole life, sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller. I'm biggest right now. I'm hoping to lose weight and get healthier to improve my chances of success with having a healthy baby, be a role model to my patients, and improve my quality of life and longevity. Here we go...
Lose 40lbs - Reward: start trying to have a baby!
Lose 60lbs - Cruise with the hubby
I started off calorie counting (and still do, kind of) but mostly keep track with the old WW Points system, because it is easier. Also, PORTION CONTROL!!
Exercising again. Started with walking, now running, and I just bought a jump rope.
Small town Central LA. Now live in NOLA.
Married to wonderful hubby, Ryan.

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
Just stopping by to wish you a fun and healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind, and keep doing your best to make progress towards reaching them. Never forget that you are always worth your very best effort!

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
Have a great week, Sparkfriend! Take those intentional steps towards your goals! Every small step is progress, and you are so worth it!

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."

"Today is a new day. It's a day you have never seen before and will never see again.
Stop telling yourself the 'same crap, different day' lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you?
Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go.”
I hope your week has gotten off to a great start, Sparkfriend! Make the most of each day...do your best to be healthy and to make progress towards your goals. You are so worth the effort, you know!
