Sidetracked

I need to maintain momentum to continue to exercise. Ran a marathon in 10/08 but, since then, got sidelined from running due to aging knee issues & a possible knee replacement in the future. Meanwhile, I'm finding it difficult to find other exercise activities that I can enjoy as much as running. As my activity level has decreased, the weight has increased. Would love to lose 15 lbs by December 2009 (slow but steady).

My Goals:
I want to stay in shape and not lose muscle mass. Diabetes runs in my family (typically diagnosed in their 40's). I am 47 yrs old and, knock on wood, am still healthy.

My Program:
I am starting a f ood & exercise journal. I plan to try Dr. Ian Smith's program and see how that goes.

Personal Information:
I am from all over the place, currently in N. California. Before that, I was in NC, CO, LA, the UK, Texas, Canada, and NY! I'm a bit of a nomad.

Other Information:
I am the single mother of a college bound senior. I have a pretty secure job as an attorney for the government.
