The Battle Of The Bulge

My whole life I have been thin and toned without really ever working out or watching what I ate. Awhile back I was put on an anti-depressant. The "may cause weight gain" side effect was an understatement. I was hungry all the time. Even if I was so full I felt sick, I still felt hungry. I gained ten pounds a month. I went from 125-130 pounds to 180 pounds. I started avoiding having to see myself naked in mirrors. I started wearing baggier shirts to hide my stomach. And I kept saying "I'll start ...

The "may cause weight gain" side effect was an understatement. I was hungry all the time. Even if I was so full I felt sick, I still felt hungry. I gained ten pounds a month. I went from 125-130 pounds to 180 pounds. I started avoiding having to see myself naked in mirrors. I started wearing baggier shirts to hide my stomach. And I kept saying "I'll start working out tomorrow".

When all of this started I did lose over 30 pounds. I was in the gym every day, I was eating carefully and making healthy choices. Then over the summer I had a hysterectomy. I had a hard time after it and my weight started to go back up. I don't have a way to the gym on a regular basis anymore, but I am going to start watching my food choices and portions more carefully and getting some exercise in at home.
