Hello waist

I've shrunk by 4 dress sizes and have got a distinctive waistline back. Hence the page title. My weight-loss plateaued mid-2013 and then I gained about 10lbs back. I didn't like how my clothes looked tight, so I'm back on the low-carb plan.

With SparkPeople's help I am now no longer classed as diabetic or pre-diabetic.

50+ in external years, 17 inside. Diagnosed with diabetes April 2012; with SparkPeople's diabetes plan I'm managing it by diet not pills.

Two adult sons, two gorgeous grandchildren and a lovely husband (DH).

An eternal optimist even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

Did my impatience lift? Well - I did have a nice, relaxed Sunday - and I did prepare my work appraisal ready for today.

I have been more reflective about it. I have been thinking about practical ways to relate to people who I find irritating - and I included a Myers-Briggs picture in my appraisal - about being an ISFJ - and all the things that annoy me are seemingly very much in-line with that psychological assessment. Perhaps acknowledging how I feel, then reflecting on it, is helpful in itself.

Actually, I did sit with my feet in the water for a long time - I wasn't impatient about that! I like using Flower Remedies too - and have some Vervain on the counter - hmmm maybe some drops of that in the last cup of tea before I go to work today might help!
