Chloe's health & fitness model

I've battled with my weight for years. I now have a beautiful young daughter, and I want to be sure BOTH of her parents are good health and fitness role models for her. I've tried before and failed, and I'm hoping this time will be different... I'm hoping SparkPeople can help!

My Goals:
I'm hoping to start a healthier lifestyle here and stick with it for good. I hope that weight loss and looking better is a bi-product of this, but for the first time ever, this is not my primary goal.

My Program:
My "program" has evolved since I started. I have been eating better (with the occassional indulgence). Tracking everything is key. I'm better at it some weeks than others. I have discovered my inner runner, which really burns those calories. I've also started using the AdvoCare line of products, whichmy husband introduced me to. I've always been a skeptic of "weight-loss products" but these are more "wellness" products, and they honestly seem to be helping...so I'm going with it!

Hi! I laughed when you asked about the 4th. That race is going to be awesome! I have to be very careful about summer running because of my migraines...otherwise, I'd be there for sure!!! There a trail run 5k next wednesday night. I did it last year...maybe I'll do it again. It was challenging and different.

Good luck with your training. I can't wait for your race report!!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. The 7/4 10K is going to be huge. Much better for the odds of not finishing last. :) This race was 65 people (I think) and all, obviously, very seasoned runners. None the less, I'm proud of my pace and got my pandora bead to mark the occasion!

Hey Sara! My 10K is in Narragansett. I can't wait!! Most of my training has been on the TM because time has been so tight, but last night's outside run was GREAT and the weather is going to be perfect on Satruday -- cool and partly cloudy. I think weather is the biggest factor for me. I'm feeling excited and a lot less nervous!!!

Congratulations on the 35 pounds. Great Work!!!!! Be proud and throw the fat clothes away!! :)
