Ready for Change

I was always very active playing Volleyball, Basketball and Softball in HS. Married my HS boyfriend a month after graduation and proceeded to invest my time into my family, developed toxemia with my first child and gained 80pounds which I have yet to lose and then my second child. In the last 4 years, I embraced the Atkins lifestyle and was able to lose about 50 pounds, but I am looking for a healthy, permanent solution to my struggles. I miss being so active and the adrenaline rush from being competitive and sweaty!! lol I've let life dictate to me how I was going to proceed instead of dictating my life's direction!! That ends today.

Thanks for your comment on my blog! It is great to hear that you are finding what works for you! That's the kind of thing I mean when I say you have to find what works for you. For some people, hormones really are the answer. If you get too caught up in the advice of people who discount that, you would miss the key to your success. It's wonderful that your efforts are paying off...and that even if the habits that you formed before didn't lead to weightloss at first, with the keys in place, they will now!

Hey there! Thanks for the blog comment! I really appreciate it!! This challenge was definitely tough and I'm glad because I learned something from it.

I noticed your status update - I'm sorry to hear you're getting frustrated. Want some help to try to figure out the whole "gaining" business?? Sometimes its natural fluctuations that could be happening and maybe we can figure it out

Hiya hon! Things are going well with my training - starting to add some time & distance to my runs which is super fun (doing week 5 of C25K now) My warrior dash is actually only about 4 weeks away on May 5th! EEP! Definitely nervous about it, but it should be super fun! When is your dash scheduled for?
