I'm here again, starting over, starting fresh...not the first time, but each time I learn something and each time I hope to be more successful. I'm certainly a lot happier than I was ten years ago - regardless of weight, so that's something!

I've learned SO MUCH in the last many years and have really started to zero in what does and doesn't work for me. I'm really feeling like I'm coming into a place where I can sustain what I'm doing for the long term.

My Program:
I'm compiling decades worth of dieting and food plan experience and knowledge to try to come up with something I can sustain this time.

I'm back to calorie/food tracking. I did it once before and went crazy, swore I'd never do it again, BUT I was shooting too low on my calories and I was eating terrible fake food, etc.

This time, I'm upping my calories, striving to eat mostly healthy, whole foods. Nothing is off limits, but I strongly limit bread, pasta and sweets. And I rarely drink soda at all.



Personal Information:
6/9/14:

I'm now 44, facing 45 in July. I still live in the same area, although I'm currently on the Minnesota side of the bridge. My son is now in the Army, and my daughter has just graduated high school. They still make things interesting. The daughter and her boyfriend will be living here for a while yet - I hope her first year of college at least.

Hubby and I are still going strong. We have two wonderful cats, and are working to build an apartment in our commercial building while we enjoy the urban lifestyle for awhile.


Other Information:
I'm huge fangirl - big into shows like Sentinel, Due South, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Magnificnet Seven, A-Team, Firefly...quite often the cheesier the better.

I also read a LOT, write, crochet, brew beer, play on-line, ski and try to bike more than I have been lately :)
