Hey yall. I'm originally from Georgia, grew up in Memphis, TN. I relocated to KS in spring of 2011. I have an infant son that is 1 year old. I gained all of my extra weight when I was pregnant with him. I am beyond ready to lose it!! I have been back and forth on the dieting train for what feels like forever. I am sick and tired of looking at pictures of myself and cringing. Only 2 years ago before I was pregnant I was 150 lbs... and thought I was fat then. I want to get down to the weight I was in highschool, which was 140.
My name is Andrea and I am 23 years old. I love reading and am currently in school to get my RN. I am currently a CNA and a CMA (medication aide) in the meantime. I love bands like the Beatles, the Doors, Pink Floyd, ELO, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan (who I named my son, Dylan, after), and Queen.

Hi Andrea and welcome to Spark People where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day, watch your portion control and walk. Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
Start each day with a positive thought just for that day. Reading and reflecting on an inspirational thought or message before you start your day can put you in a positive frame of mind.
Your thoughts determine whether you have a good day or a bad day. Fill your mind with positive ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. You will find it will change your attitude and changing your attitude can change your life.
Sometimes just reading an inspirational quote or a short paragraph helps one see the positive in a situation. Sometimes as your day progresses you just need to take a break…Take a mental break and read or think about a message of inspiration.
Never underestimate your power to change and improve! You are a good person, with wonderful qualities, and you can reach your goals!

Welcome to Spark!
There is so much to see and do here on these wonderful pages. Plot out a few hours of time that you can sit down and visit some of the great boards here. There is so much motivation, support, and friendship here that success is here for the taking. I am still discovering the many wonders of Spark and will no doubt continue to do so for much longer.
