Back on track!
*To lose at least 35 pounds
*To lower my cholesterol and blood sugar levels (goal met)
*To replace my entire wardrobe with a size or two smaller (goal met & still counting)
I now have a new goal: to build muscle, gain strength, and MAYBE try for a half-marathon and/or 5K. (a work in progress).
UPDATE: 5/10/08; I am showing the fruits of my labor with some muscle defination in my arms & back. I am also getting a leaner face.
UPDATE: 6/13/08; I am down yet another size
UPDATE: 7/12/08; I broke through the 160's! I weighed in at 158! YAY!! I have to buy new workout outfits yet again!
UPDATE: 7/20/08; ANOTHER pound and 3 & 3/4 inches gone! Am I on a roll or what!
UPDATE: 12/8/08; I'm training for a marathon in 2009; distance to be determined........
Walking, various workout tapes & dvd's, weight lifting, rebounder, resistance bands, and most recently, kettlebell exercises. In a nutshell, I call my plan the "eat anything in moderation & get my @$$ off the couch and exercise" plan.
I fell off course but now am back on. Two weeks ago (Jan., 2010) I rejoined the fitness club and already lost 3 pounds.
My hobbies are crocheting, cross stitching, going to concerts, art, drawing, yard & garage sales. We also love to travel and check out areas of the east coast that we've never been to. The weekend of 7/26/08, we went to Morehead City, NC and Atlantic Beach (just one town away) & loved the towns and beaches!
1/12/09: We are saving up for an August trip to Bethel, NY for the 40th anniversary of Woodstock LOL! Neither one of us went, so we feel that "our" time has come, even if it's after the fact.
My husband & I love classic movies, long walks, camping in the summertime, picnics.
I now actually look forward to exercising instead of dreading it.
