I've recently graduated from the University of Minnesota, finally! I'm now living and interning in New York City for an ad agency and I'm having a great time. I've got a boyfriend who also lives and works in New York and we are experiencing what it's like to finally be in the same city together. I've got a boyfriend who also lives and works in New York and we are experiencing what it's like to finally be in the same city together. While meeting new people is easy, It's really hard making new friends. I feel like I'll never meet anyone as smart and interesting as my friends back home. I'm giving it time though... I've only been here a month!

Living in NYC is completely awesome, including the food. Wow, is eating out has never been so tempting. However, when you have no money, and you are trying to lose weight, eating out so much isn't really an option. That's why I save it for my splurges (Artichoke pizza at 3am!!).

The plus side is you have to walk EVERYWHERE. I'm walking every day for at least an hour. My legs are feeling it also. Once I'm settled, I'll be dedicated to finding a gym. I hate running, and like to work out on machines in a gym, au natural right ;). I figure if I spend $100 a month on a gym I'll HAVE to work out, I'm too cheap not to.

I'm really excited about getting back on SP, I'd love to re-connect with old friends on here. I'd also love to meet new ones, weight loss is no fun when you are alone!

My Goals:
lose weight and keep it off!

My Program:
My goal is to eat anywhere from 1200-1500 calories a day, knowing that some days will be more or less.

I'd also like to continue walking as much as possible. Once I get settled in the city, I plan to join a gym and work out 4-5 times a week.

Personal Information:
I'm 22 years old on a journey to self-discovery. I love love love to bake, cook and do anything that Martha Stewart would do (sans jail time).

Whether or not we realize it each of us has a special gift inside us just waiting to surface!...We owe developing these gifts not only to ourselves, but those around us as well... The important thing here is not what your gift is as much as that you develop it so that you can share it with those around you and in the process further your own personal life!... Once we have identified our special talents it doesn't matter whether or not we find immediate success in them, what does matter is that we take a step each day towards our intended goal!
