Wedding Bells vs Bumb Bells

I guess I have joined the ranks of thousands of women who are trying to loose weight for their wedding day. I am lucky to have met a man who loves me no matter what size I am but I am not as lucky when it comes to self love. I am a determined person and usually get what I go after so this will be no different. I am here to declare my countdown to loosing the 25-30lbs in the next 9 months (very doable).

My current program only involves working out on regular basis. In terms of food, I am not vigilant and that is what is keeping me from reaching my goal.

Dood, starbucks is evil... Don't ever get any pastries or bars or cookies there! I had an oat cranberry bar (which sounded like a pretty healthy treat) and it completely ruined my day in terms of calories and fat (and carbs for that matter).

I love you too, honey! Hrm... Here is a question: do you snack because your hungry or bored? Do you feel like you need a reward at the end of the day?I have stopped snacking so much once I started doing stuff other than watching tv in the evening. One suggestion is to have an apple with honey or some other fruit as a snack. Also pairing whatever you want to have with tea or just hot water will make a small amount seem more substantial and make it into a ritual- rather than a mindless, automatic action.

I always want to snack because I feel like I want to relax and have fun at the end of the day--another thought is to remember that you will want a snack later when you are having dinner and plan accordingly... I cant wait for tomorrow!

Oh by the way, I read in the redeye that doing weights before cardio burns fat more effectively... go figure. I will have to try that.
