6 months in - not a lot to show

I've been seriously about weight loss since the start of the year. I am down from my high weight about 25 pounds - but since January it's only been about 15 = most of which was the first three month. I have a new schedule - and new goals. Hopefully this jump starts my weight loss to finally reach a healthy weight.

My Goals:
Size 8 For August (I'm in some 8's, but not all).

Under 145 for Start of August (that's a healthy BMI)

Under 140 by the end of the September.

Running 3x a week - get my speed and endurance for running to a place I can be proud of (under 10m mile, able to run an entire 5k to start).

Smaller bathing suit next month!

Ultimately feel healthy and fit by my 28th birthday (November).

My Program:
I am not into quick fixes. I am making permanent changes to my lifestyle. I have 0 interest in dieting, it messes with your body and it doesn't mesh in with the soon to be new, healthy, me. I will reduce my caloric intake, but nothing crazy - just healthier eating and exercise from here on out. If it takes me a year to take off 25 pounds, so be it. Whatever I lose, I want it to stay lost.

Personal Information:
I'm Sarah, a 20 something on a health mission.

Other Information:
I enjoy most things nerd. I'm a bit of a homebody - but I am working on that. Gotta go out to get in shape!

Take steps in the direction of your goals, no matter how small. Today is a new and good day!

Thank you for the great advice about my hunger issue! I do eat a few snacks throughout the day, but I could probably balance it all out a bit better. It's very helpful to hear that I don't necessarily need to follow the calorie range given to me by SP. I have been feeling a little guilty even being at the top of my range, but I do agree that I need to listen to my body and fuel it when I am feeling that extra hunger.

Thanks again! Have a great week! emoticon

I actually get Shin splints. and the 6 miles the day before, plus no icing to prevent them caused them to flare up BAD on me. I'm definitely icing today and might skip the workout, I"m not sure yet. My workout entails a warm up stretch, so that wasn't it either. I also drank 12 cups of water yesterday and the day before. So I just know it's my shin splints. little bit of icing and i'll be good Thanks for the comment on my blog :)
