After I graduated from high school, I stopped dancing and slowly started putting on the pounds. I didn't notice at first until my jeans started feeling tight. Dancing had always been a part of my life, and I realize that was why I was in shape for as long as I can remember - it doesn't come naturally for me. So now I'm kickin myself in the booty and trying to get back into the swing of things.
So my goal is to reincorporate these healthy habits back into my life and my routine. Yeah, I'd like to lose weight and tone up, but I want to accomplish this through living a better lifestyle.
Update 4/30/09: Okay, let's try this again! I obviously had a difficult time last time, and now I'm going to try harder!
Update 2/10/10: So apparently after Hawaii, I fell off the wagon! I looked really great at 136 lbs - I came home and bought my wedding dress (Chad PROPOSED while we were there!), and as of NOW it no longer fits!!! I've gained 15 lbs of FAT!
Update 6/9/2011: Well, I got pregnant in July 2010 and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Lily on 4/24/2011! Needless to say, I have some weight to lose! I was at 148 lbs pre-pregnancy (icky) and it only took me 10 days to get back down to 148 lbs. BUT I have a long way to go to get down to 125 lbs! What's worse is, during my pregnancy, I developed a taste for carbs and sweets! Uh oh!
I want to build healthy habits.
I want to lose 20 pounds.
I want to have 18-20% body fat.
I'd like to flatten out my stomach again, trim my thighs and arms, and generally get back into the habit of exercise.
Calorie counting, paired with jump roping, TABATAS canoeing (when weather permits), bicycling, and workout videos, and drinking 1 gallon of water per day.
I want to maintain a daily calorie differential of at least 500, and I promise not to eat things without nutritional value!
