I originally lost 15 lbs. tracking my food on Spark and using Leslie Sansone Walk At Home DVDs, as well as walk/running outdoors.
I've started running more and walking for longer periods, as well as using some Coach Nicole videos for ST and cardio. But this summer, I have slipped...enjoying a little too much food...still pretty healthy but I need to cut quantities and do more veggies consistently.
Don't know when I will reach my ultimate goal. Right now, it is two steps forward, one step back...or vice versa. However, I am hopeful! I do feel consistently fit and at age 67, that's a good thing.

I've reached a major weight loss goal of 139, but I'm now working on maintaining that & losing 5-7 more pounds by the end of August 2012. I've gotten much more comfortable running, and I have more energy for my day! I'm also enjoying fitting into smaller clothes. Thanks, SparkPeople and SparkFriends! Hugs!

Goal - 3-5 miles a day, either outdoors or with Leslie Sansone DVDs.
I need to do more ST...but a daily structure just does not work for me.
I'm trying a simpler approach to ST, seeing if I can fit in sets of it while waiting for things to cook, etc.
I had worked up to 8 lb. weights for arms but am now back to 5 lbs. for all but the easiest moves.
I'm from Pennsylvania & turned 67 this summer. I'd like to continue to look & feel younger than that! I'd like to be able to dance and sing forever, and haul my suitcase around Europe with no pain.
I love my Kindle & my local library! I also enjoy contradancing & ballroom dancing, when I can find a partner. I am enjoying learning to speak and read French and I love to take photos.

I'm so pleased to get your feed notes, Sara. It was also good to happen upon Claire's blog about your hike. You may have seen the note I left for her, asking her to give you my "Hello." Have a glorious stay in France soaking up the culture and perfecting your facility in the language. As I recall, your plan some time back was to spend most of this trip outside of Paris. If you get a moment, I'd like to know if that holds. Unless I'm mixing this up with last year's language studies?
P.S. Just saw your note on my page. The Barnes came to mind yesterday, too. It can be done.

I love my new hiking bag! But definitely NOT for Paris! For Paris, I use a crossbody bag, that way the opening is clearly visible for me and nobody can open my bag in my back (sometimes in the métro I even turn it inwards so that the opening is against my stomach!). Here is the one I use (all leather, made in Rouen! they have the same in turquoise):
Also, my new hiking bag is really a camera bag more than anything, so great if you have a big SLR camera that needs special padding, otherwise not so useful...

Happy festive season Sara! Wishing you all the best for 2015 Haven't been much of a sparker lately and it shows :) But other things in life and health are good so can't complain. Hope all is well with you and that you've had a lovely Christmas
