Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is my one year sparkversary and I am HAPPY. I did not reach my final goal, but maybe I'm setting it a little too low. In one year I have lost 15 pounds and I can see it in the mirror as well as feel it in my everyday activities. I set a goal of running a 5K with my daughters and I was very proud to come in 4th in my female age group on July 4th. I plan to give myself a 3 month fitness push to tone up and then hopefully maintenance. So glad I found you Spark People....you are all awesome!
I am at my nine month mark and have LOST 12 pounds. Some of the last few have tended to bounce up and down, but I work them back down. I am still hoping to get the last 7.5 off of my scale in the next 3 months. I've always loved walking outdoors, but now I even love running on the treadmill and outside. Still hope to do the 5K, but really need to work on time and pace. I just celebrated my 49th birthday and as Natasha Bedingfield sings in her song, "Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten". Not getting older, just writing better chapters......
Six months later, it is time to update my life. I set a pretty big goal for myself back in August '08 to lose 10 pounds. Well, in 2 months I reached that goal and decided to go for the last 10. For me these are the tough ones. I am however wearing sizes that I didn't think real people ever bought! I feel really good, so I think I might just be at my size plateau. My 17 year old daughter was my running inspiration and I'm even considering doing a 5K with her this summer. She can WIN I just want to FINISH!
All within the last month, I have had my 30 year high school class reunion, my first child got married and we cleaned out my mother's house (she passed away in November) and had an auction sale. Now that all of these events are over I am ready to get back on track and do something for me. The reunion and the wedding were my initial motivators this year and I did lose 7 pounds since the first of the year, but 2.5 have found their way back. I am happily married to a farmer and work for him as the office secretary and in the Fall of the year I weigh trucks, so August, September and October are very busy months. The motivation now for the rest of the goal that I would like to obtain is for my own health and happiness.
My main goal is to be at my healthy weight for my height of 5'2". I started on SP August 4, 2008 at 134.5 lbs and my initial goal was to get to 125 by Nov. 1. I reached 124 on Oct. 6 and reevaluated my final goal of 115 lbs and to maintain that number (plus or minus a pound or 2),
So far, this is my set of goals :
1. To drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
2 To get in at least 100 minutes of cardio per week.
3. To keep a daily journal of my strengths and weaknesses.
4. To be accountable for everything through my SP contact.
5. Allow for some "ME" time everyday.
6. Add more fruits and vegetables to my life.
7. And new for 2009...Catch up on my "To Do" list and learn to say no before adding more to it than I can handle.
