I'm a long time Sparker that lost her way and is back with an even bigger challenge ahead.

I need to do this.. for me... for my life.. for my skiing... for my husband. It has got to be a top priority for all the other things in my life to keep working.

My last doctor appointment weighed me in at 302, by far the heaviest I have ever been in my life. Newly married "fat and happy" cannot be the resounding answer for my physique.. especially now that it is confirmed that I have high cholesterol like so many of my family members.

The biggest challenge for our customers at work is letting go of what they were doing before, to adapt a new strategy for their business. I gently encourage them to stay with what they have been doing if it is working for them; knowing full well that it is not working, and that is why they are talking to me. Accepting that prior failure, for lack of better word, is one of the biggest hurdles to face.

My previous strategy was not working. I need to adopt a new strategy if I am going to see a positive change.

I want to increase my profit margin in life. I do NOT want to settle for just making ends meet.

I'm going to say this one more time just for me, because this is turning point.

What I have been doing does not work to be healthy. I need to adopt a new mindset and approach to eating and lifestyle if I am going to be healthy. I need to do these things because I LOVE my body... not because I hate it.

This is my life. My only life. This is the body that I have, and it's time to start taking care of it.

Ah cool! I hope your travel experience is better this time! I think it makes a huge difference going in with a plan and ideas for what to do on the fly if you need to. Anytime I run into a new hitch I try to use it as a new learning experience for next time. So far my weekend trips have been going really well! I do have a bigger trip to visit family coming up and I've been a little nervous about that one but my sister wanted to try some of the recipes that I've been making lately so hopefully I'll get to "control" what I'm eating more than I thought I would! I think my biggest worry is my Dad's house!!! LOL But I think if I stay mindful of how much I have and keep portions small and get enough steps in the day I should be good.

Hey Girl! Thank you for your concern. I actually have bursitis in my hip. I used to get cortisone shots for it, but it hasn't bothered me very much at all since I started losing weight, but I think that I just did a lot of lifting, bending, moving, in ways I don't normally while trying to pack up our house, so I think it will go away in a few days. Just don't want to try and reach this 100 miles goal and make it worse.
