I turned 30 this past year and realized that I HAD to not only start but commit to this healthy lifestyle. My mother passed away when I was 13 due to breast cancer. She was heavy a lot of her adult life too. I CANNNOT put my little boy (20 months) through that kind of experience. It is my responsibbility as a wife and mother to take care of myself. It's taken a long time and lots of effort to realize that my family will see myself taking care of myself as a way of loving them.
