The Pursuit of Happiness

My journey started the day I went to a conference on finding your Inner Peace by the Dalai Lama. What I learned this day was the inspiration that I needed to reflect on my life, my goals and what I really wanted to achieve: happiness, right now, and every day going forward.
The journey has not been without bumps, plateaus, scale backs... but slowly I have been taking control of and responsibility for my own happiness. Realizing that I have the power to increase my own happiness and reach ...
My journey started the day I went to a conference on finding your Inner Peace by the Dalai Lama. What I learned this day was the inspiration that I needed to reflect on my life, my goals and what I really wanted to achieve: happiness, right now, and every day going forward.
The journey has not been without bumps, plateaus, scale backs... but slowly I have been taking control of and responsibility for my own happiness. Realizing that I have the power to increase my own happiness and reach inner piece was the most empowering feeling. There are so many moving parts to consider, but knowing that I can achieve happiness should I chose to do so, is the motivation that I needed.
I discovered that, in addition to kindness and positivity, "Balance" in every sense of the word, is one of the most important tool in the pursuit of happiness. I thrive to achieve balance between all the aspects of my life, focusing on achieving balance in each aspect individually but also on how they interact together. This is a learning process that I achieve every day by reading and reflecting. SparkPeople for me was first a motivation and educational tool, not only for nutrition and exercise but for happiness seeking and stress reducing methods. After several months of reading the DailySpark, following SparkPeople on Pinterest, I decided to fully integrate SparkPeople in my lifestyle using it for tracking food and exercise (replacing Weight Watcher), but also be part of the SparkCommunity by creating a SparkPage, joining challenges, collecting my SparkPoints...
This is a new step in my journey, in my pursuit of happiness.
