I can do it!

I am doing it!! In November of 2011 my family did a photo shoot. We had some great pictures, but I didn't not like the way my body looked. I had hit an all time high of 230 pounds. I have always felt pretty and have always been confident, but I didn't like what I had become. So…. I made a list of all the things I liked about myself and all the things I didn't like about myself that I had the power to change. A year in and a half later and 50 pounds later I found that list and it brought me so ...

I have always felt pretty and have always been confident, but I didn't like what I had become. So…. I made a list of all the things I liked about myself and all the things I didn't like about myself that I had the power to change. A year in and a half later and 50 pounds later I found that list and it brought me so much joy to see how many changes I have made and goals that I accomplished. So cool!! The tool that helped me the most from day one was journaling. From the first day of my journey I started journaling. I would write down everything…my goals, food intake, exercise, strength training, parenting triumphs and failures, motivational quotes, anything that inspired me, spiritual matters, letters to God, and my daily experiences. Looking back at that journal I can definitely say that the times that I committed to daily journaling were the times that I was more successful in all areas of my life. It is so important to always have a clear picture of where you are and where you are going. On days that I was discouraged I would look over my past journal entries and then be inspired by my own life and triumphs. Such a good feeling!! I have not been perfect over that last year and a half, but I never gave up and my rewards have been so great!!
