Hello! Thanks for stopping by. Being overweight is nothing new to me. In fact, as early as about first grade, I was already one of the chubby kids. Not so fun. Almost as soon as I realised this, I knew that I wanted to get healthier. Fast forward about 15 years. Still chubby as all get out. So. What could possibly keep me from losing weight after all this time? Probably a combination of a few things: lack of motivation, being plain old lazy sometimes, and most of all, doubting myself! Although I've tried innumerable times to lose weight and get healthy, my lack of belief in myself has always stopped me. If I had one bad day, I would give up everything I'd done! I'd lose 10-15 pounds, then have a stagnant week of weight loss and just give up. But not anymore! I KNOW I can do this! It's already happening. And there is NOTHING that is going to stop me! because.... I'm DONE: -being uncomfortable in everything I wear -dreading pictures of myself -being embarrassed to run with other people -barely fitting into clothes at stores that cater to size 12 or less -rejecting compliments like it's my job -doubting myself!! so, here are the facts. Nov 1st - 228.6 Nov 24th - 220.6 (-8.0) Dec 6th - 221.4 (+.8) - it happens! it was an especially busy week. Dec 7th - 218.8 (-2.6) Dec 9th - 218.6 (-.2) Dec 11th - 217.0 (-1.6) Dec 20th - 216.8 (-.2) I'll be updating soon. March 15th - 220. eek Saturday Morning Weigh-ins March 20th - 218.4 (back in business!!) March 27th - 217.4 Dec 2010 203.5 WOO Jan 2011 -- more than that. meh.

My Goals:
Sept 2011 - I am going to run the Great Race in Pittsburgh. If I can't run it all I will walk or crawl or roll or any other means of self-propelled travel. But I will finish it! some mini goals for fun 215 - swimsuit & sunglasses 205 - bookstore item 195 - workout clothes 185 - non goodwill jeans 175 - we'll see when we get a little closer!! the reward is being 175 pounds actually!!!
My Program:
-using various cardio machines at the gym... there is a machine that is a mix between an elliptical and a step machine which I enjoy -hiking/jogging/swimming/kayaking/ any summer outdoor activity when it is not super freezing cold like it is now Kayaking is my favorite. :)

Other Information:
I love Dave Matthews Band!!! and Chipotle (skip on the sour cream and cheese, I know). I gave up mozzarella cheese and chocolate for Lent. I should probably give those up more often
