I work from home as a medical transctiptionst, and from my chair in front of the computer, I'm getting wider and wider. My goal is first and foremost to stop that, and secondly to become healthier!

My goals that I hope to accomplish through this site are:
1) Drink 8 glasses of water per day
2) Start and stay with an exercise program
3) Take my vitamins daily
4) To eat with nutrition in mind, not empty calories
5) To make new like-minded friends while here
6) To help motivate and encourage others
7) Stop negative self-talk
8) Improve quality of life with the above goals!

So I'm terrible at sparkpeople navigation and just noticed that you commented on a blog post of mine. I'd like to thank you so much for your support. Hi Sandy, I'm new to Spark people. Glad to see you have 2 days normal FBS. Dr. just told me last week I'm pre-diabetic. Because of some other medical problms I want to do everything I can ot avoid taking anymore meds. I'm realy hating having to stick myself twice a day. Best wishes on the rest of your journey. I do all I can to encourage you along the way. Vickie

On May 8, 2010 Joan and I walked a two mile race thingy for our local barbecue festival. The same day, one of my Spark buddies PRINCESSNURSE ran her first half marathon in Indianapolis.

I was sore and achy and never thoughnt I'd move again. Two days later I began C25K. It was tough but when I made it up that monster hill it was all worth it.

I am learning to become my own inspiration. It will feel so amazing the day you begin to feel that you are becoming yours. I'm right there with you

Oh my goodness, you're so sweet! I am proud to have you for a SparkBuddy too! I'm glad you find some encouragement from that blog. It really helped me get over myself that day. emoticon

emoticon Trust me! I really never thought I could. I never, ever exercised in my life. And I'd thought I already was eating healthy enough. I just didn't think I could get this far...and look! So you will too, I know it. I'd be happy to work on that nagging inner woman together. emoticon
