Time to get serious!

I had gastric bypass in September 2003 and lost 120 lbs (my lowest was 160 which I felt good at). I put on about 10 lbs between 2005 and 2006, then I gained another 10 lbs when I started medications to cycle as a gestational surrogate back in summer 2006. I then was blessed to get pregnant for my Intended Parents and I delivered a little girl in July 2007 for them. I had gained 40 lbs during the pregnancy, reaching 220 lbs. I lost 16 lbs immediately after delivery, and then worked hard during my 6 weeks of leave to loose another 19 lbs. I am now at 185 lbs, and getting ready to cycle and transfer again. I would love to get down to at LEAST 170 before I get pregnant again, and be more careful about my weight gain this time!

My second Gestational Surrogacy Pregnancy is complete and I have about 15lbs to loose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight but ultimately want to get down to 160 at a minimum. I am committing to the P90X program again and want to really challenge myself to stick it out, keep pushing play and get through all 90 days and see how much progress I am able to make! Weightloss is a big goal, but getting into shape, especially my stomach, is also a big goal. I just want to feel good about myself and about the choices I am making for my body. I'm getting active on www.teambeachbody.com again as well for additional motivation and accountability.

My Goals:
My long term goal is to get down to at least 160. My immediate short term goal for weight loss is to reach 170 before my next pregnancy (hoping to TTC for ourselves this year!). Some of my goals include drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, exercising for at least 15 minutes 4-5 times a week (preferably 30 or more), being active with my son on the weekends, and continuing to incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables into each meal. I have been focusing on using recipes and learning new recipes that will help my family create and maintain healthy eating habits. I want to keep junk food and desserts out of the house as much as possible, and find the willpower to say NO to the occasional baked goods and sweets I fix for my son and husband, or at a minimum really learn to enjoy everything in MODERATION! :)

My Program:
I am charting my food intake and workouts. I was doing the Spark People strength training, with occasional cardio, but I am currently doing the P90X program! I am working hard to change myself so I can enjoy this body I've been given!

Personal Information:
I am 29 years old, a mother of 1, a 2 time gestational surrogate (7/07 and 11/10). I work in Atlanta. My husband and I have been married for 12 years. We have 5 rescue dogs!

Many thanks for stopping by my blogs! I love the wii! Definitely great game for you and the family. As a matter of fact, the boys and I are going to play Just Dance 2 today. Great way to get in some exercise. ;)
Thanks for all your support and feedback. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day!

Hola! P90X is going pretty well, although it kills me to see how far off I have fallen off. It's almost like starting over again, but my running has helped me maintain some fitness. Congrats on completing 5 weeks, that's VERY impressive. The furthest I have gone was 8 weeks and then (insert excuse here) I got off track.

Keep in touch. I look forward to seeing your progress!!!
