It's been a while, Sparkers. Here is my story in a nut-shell.

I got married in 2005. At that point, I went from 170 pounds to 132 in about 2 years through diet and exercise and with the help of Sparkpeople.

In 2008, we moved into a 30 foot travel trailer and started building our own home using the pay-as-we-go-debt-free plan while both of us work full time. I am a high school English/Drama/Yearbook teacher and my husband is a physical therapist.

We only have dial-up internet in the trailer, so it makes tracking my food and exercise an hour-long ordeal. For this reason, my participation in Sparkpeople sometime varies. From my initial lowest weight of 132, my weight has fluctuated up and down until it has came to rest somewhere around 145 for the past two years. This has been manageable for me with my current stress level (which is astronomically high during the school year and very low during the summer).

My husband and I are coming close to finishing our house, hopefully by 2012. We are also starting to think about starting a family and I am trying to stay healthy and lower my weight so that I can be as fit as possible when we get pregnant. I'd like to lose about 5 pounds and I am planning to really amp up my activity level this summer.

I finally bought a copy of _The Spark_ and I intend to read it soon so that I can get re-energized.

My acting hobby has come to an end for the time being. It is just too time consuming and gives so little back that I had to give it up.
I am also a writer who tries to get work published, and have had an interesting go of it so far, so I decided to write a blog about it.

My Goals:
To keep my body fit and healthy so that I can be a great mom when we start a family.

I will lose 8 pounds by 8/2011

My Program:
This summer I plan to be active like crazy doing things I enjoy, like lots of yardwork, Zumba, and lap swimming.

I also plan to keep my calories low and focus on drinking enough water and eating enough protein.

Personal Information:
I am a High School English/Drama teacher in California. My husband and I have been married for 6 years. We are currently building our own home. Once it's done, we can start a family!

Other Information:
I am a Christian and I believe that part of my Christian lifestyle should include being as healthy as possible so that we are strong enough to serve God no matter what He asks.
