Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Well, I used to use SparkPeople after having my first son in September 2008. My husband was deployed for a year and it was a great way to help me stay motivated and connect with other people who shared the same goals.
I am in the Air Force and my husband in the Army, so staying somewhat in shape is a job requirement.
Now, it is nearly four years later and I have another baby, my husband is back, and we have moved to San Antonio, TX. We moved from Hawaii in November 2010, then moved again, into our own house, in December 2011. In between that we had our second son, Amari, in January 2011. Talk about a busy couple of years! :-/
After having Amari I kind of started to get back in shape, but then the holidays hit and my motivation declined even more. :-( Well, in February 2012 my dad and stepmom came to visit. When they left I realized that I was at my highest weight EVER! 182 pounds!! :-( I had been using Pinterest to get ideas for our new home, but then I decided to click on the Fitness link. My motivation returned.
Looking through Pinterest and seeing all of the quotes, saying, and especially pictures I knew that I had to go back to my old lifestyle of clean eating and working out!
I got a gym membership and starting running, using the elliptical, lifting some weights, and doing P90X. I lost 12 lbs in about a month. I am continuing to lose weight and want to keep up with my goals!
I want to be able to do 5k's, 10k's, obstacle courses, feel amazing in my bikini and linerie ;-), and most importantly show my kids how to live a healthy life!!
