Every step I take brings me one step closer to the me I want to be.

Ok. My son is almost 3 (April 12th), so I can no longer even try to use the excuse that it is baby weight. Who am I kidding, I have been eating everything under the sun and Not exercising at all. Surprise, surprise...I am still up 45lbs since before I had my son. Prior I was on Sparkpeople doing great. I had lost 35lbs and was just about to get beneath the 200lb mark. However, pregnancy came along and so did the eating free for all. I threw out all the healthy eating that I was so use to. After ...

Surprise, surprise...I am still up 45lbs since before I had my son. Prior I was on Sparkpeople doing great. I had lost 35lbs and was just about to get beneath the 200lb mark. After the birth of my son I struggled with post partum depression and over all lack of motivation.

I am not sure what is different this time. Maybe I am finally sick of all this extra weight and the impact it has on my self confidence. My confidence impacts my Marriage too. My amazing husband has NEVER judge me on my weight and has made it very clear that he loves me for me, but I need to love me too!

Losing weight is definitely different now that I am a mom!!!!! I have fat in places I never use to! Working out is WAY harder with a very active toddler.

In my son's favorite phrase....READY....SET...GOOOOOOOOO!!!

My Goals:
I am trying to get to a healther weight. What that is I'm not sure yet. Right now I'm working on baby-steps. For me setting smaller goals works best. After all the big number of needed and wanting to loosing 70-90 pounds is too intimadating! Over the last year I lost about 24lbs but in the last couple of months I have gained about 10 back. Now I am working to get back on track. My first small goal is to get under 200 lbs. I would like to achieve this this summer and I am getting close. I am starting to get excited about the possibilities that loosing weight brings. I am feeling confedent that this just might be my turn!

My Program:
I have done weight watchers countless times in the past and have had some success, but it is time for a change. I have been tracking on Sparks for the last few weeks and I am very happy with my progress. I don't care about the number anymore. I weighted 232lbs. It is a number of my past. It now longer defines me.

Personal Information:
I will be 30 this year!! I live in Concord, CA with my fiance Joe and my son Mason. We have 2 wonderful kitties, Jack and Lola. I am using the motivation of being a healthier mom to my son. I want to run with him at the park and not be winded!

Other Information:
I love the outdoors; hiking, camping, swimming. My heart loves being active but my body does not reflect it, so now it is time to work on the outside to make it match the inside.

Thanks for reading my blog. sometimes we just have to sit back and ask our selves why we aren't treating ourselves the way we deserve to be treated. We are good people! Your before/after pic looks amazing, great job! I'm about 217 right now and would love to get to 140. You are an inspiration! emoticon
