I am a working parent in my mid-40's living in Australia. I joined a gym in March 2013 and I've made a commitment to go there a minimum of 5 days a week, even if it is just to keep the habit of getting into my work our clothes, driving to the gym and walking through the doors.

It's not as hard to keep motivated to go to the gym as I thought since I enjoy the "me" time. I don't always have an hour though, sometimes I have to just grab a quick 30 and make the most of the time I have.

I recently bought a digital scale so that I can accurately keep an eye on my weight that has been creeping up over the last 15 years.

I'm tired of feeling sluggish and being unhappy with my health level and my waist size. I'm determined to make 2013 the year that I get back in shape.

I only have 22 pounds, which is approx. 10 kg to lose, and I have decided that a few months hard work and effort isn't much to get rid of 15 years of bad habits.

So, for the next three months I am going to SERIOUSLY eat healthier and work out consistently.

If your daughters want to learn different moves for poi have them check out this site: http://www.homeofpoi.com

They have a ton of free video tutorials that show you how to do certain moves, like spins and "stalls" very friendly community site too.

Thanks for the post on my page, it's nice to know I have a Spark buddy so close to here! I think one of my challenges will be getting the calorie counts of the bavarian delicacies, if you know what I mean. Spätzle, for example. And a Radler Maß? I'm almost afraid to know about that one, ha ha.

Samantha -- Good Morning and Greetings from central Indiana, and WELCOME to SparkPeople!!! Greg here, and just stopping by for a short visit. One of my short term goals is to visit as many of the SparkPages of members of the different teams that I am on. I try to visit one page per team per day (and, yes, I'm keeping track of the pages I visit; 170+ pages in the first 2 months). You are my "Let's Go Hiking" visit for today (we are also teammates on "Outdoor People").

Nice job on your SparkPage. I really like the SparkPages, and think setting one up is an important step; you have to think about what you want to present, and be willing to put it out there for the world to see/read. Now, we need to see some pictures.
