Shared Fitness Tracker
I've been on SparkPeople previously but for some reason my account was lost. Maybe because I didn't use it that often after I lost my motivation.
Now, I'm back and hopefully stronger than ever. Having recently obtained health insurance after many years without it, I'm taking this body and turning it into something I can be proud of and show off. But as much as this is about change for me, it is also about acceptance. I'm a plus size person. I've always been plus sized and I don't believe that I will ever end up being a size 2. So, this is also about becoming comfortable in my own skin. That means getting fit more so than about a shape or 10 pounds to get into a size smaller for the numbers sake.
I hope that I can help other people in my position with motivation as much as they might motivate me. So, here's to a bright and bold future.
Stay hydrated, eat healthier, control portions, find my social side again, exercise more by walking the dog and eventually taking a zumba class, and getting through the holidays without gaining and maybe even losing a few pounds in the process.
Most of all, I'm all about getting me back. I recently found myself ending a 5 year marriage and am back to being single.
Focus right now is on drinking enough water, cutting back on portions, and trying to make better choices in what food I am eating on a daily basis.
However, I am going to allow myself one day a week to eat what I want without guilt so that I'm more likely to stick to it the rest of the week.
