I am a 54 year old women with a disability. I have perhiphal vascular desease, as well as high blood pressure, high cholest. depression. severe nerve damage in my leg and suffer with pain 24/7. I had by pass surgery on my right leg with hope to get proper blood flow through my leg. Surgery went bad, and now I have gained a good 100 lbs since the surgery due to lack of mobility. I recently developed sleep apnea and am sleeping with a mask on at night. I haven't had a good nites sleep in such a long time and it has effected the person I am. I have tried many diet and weight loss programs for many years. From Micheal Thurman, to Weight Watchers, to counting calories etc. I lost weight with them all but then put the weight back on plus a lot more. I can not continue on this route. I need to take this weight off and maintain and make a life changing action in my life. I found this site on facebook and it looks like the place I need to be. I live on social security benifits and can't afford to pay the fees it requires to belong to a weight loss program for encouragement and education and support. And then finding this site and seeing that it doesn't cost a dime I couldn't believe it. I thought I was dreaming. But it was true. I hope to make new friends that are in the same situation that I am in and find the support that I need to help keep me motivated and teach me to stick with this life change of weight loss and excerise. My husband and I own a store which we wil be closing this coming Aug/Sept. My husband is going to retire and the with all the medical conditions I am experiencing I can't handle the store anymore. So we decided that it was time to part from all this work with the store and start taking care of ourselves. So Yes there are going to be some big changes coming up for hubby and I in the months to come. They are great changes...changes that will let us have the time to take care of ourselves and to do what it takes to a better, happier, active new life style with eating and exercising and focusing on us and what it will take to make us happy and healthy.

I am setting up my menus and cardio and setting my goals. I am setting my weight loss goals of losing 10% of my current weight. My mini goal is a daily goal of thinking positive and not to let negitivity enter my determination to reach a healthy weight.

    Hi Sheryl! I love your page and your butterfly background! You will succeed with SP! It will take some time, but getting in the shape we're in also took time. Keep up those small, little bits of exercise and eating healthy foods and pretty soon you'll see some results!
