Hi, I'm Rachel! The basics: I'm 26, and I love life! The three loves of my life - God, my husband, James and our Siberian Husky, Yukon, are all I need to be happy! I like kickboxing, TurboKick, spinning, circuit training, Zumba, rock climbing, bike rides and group sports of all kinds (even though i'm not the best player!).

I am beginning training for my first 5k, and I am almost as excited as my dog (he LOVES to run)!

My Goals:
My long term goal is to lose 70 - 75 pounds by August 2012. For the short term, I would like to lose 10 of those lbs by March 31. I will also be sticking with natural, unprocessed foods, weighing myself weekly, exercising 4x a week (minimum), and sticking to a 1600 calorie diet, since i tend to not eat enough.

My Program:
1) Making sure that i get enough calories to fuel my body, and that they are the right kind of calories.

2) I have put together a plan that i think will show great results - a combo of cardio, strength training and a jogging program to build my endurance. I'd love to add swimming once i see how things are working out.

3) Holding myself accountable and recording EVERYTHING i eat - - also making healthy foods available to myself by packing my lunch instead of doing the 'vending machine diet' at work. ;-)
