Simply Deb

Hello to all here!

I have been offline for quite some time due to a very devastating illness that I am recovering from. I have lost quite a bit of weight from this illness; however, it was not the way I would have chosen to do so! LOL! I am feeling better and I have re-started my exercise/diet plan that was working for me.

My kids are ages 27, 17, and 12 and they are also doing quite well. Of course my two youngest are not at all excited about going back to school! LOL!

My Goals:
1) Get to a healthier weight to live longer and look younger.

2) Feel better and have more energy.

3) Lose weight so I don't feel squashed in chairs, fit into rollercoasters, not have people stare at me, not have my thighs rub together anymore and, most importantly, not be an embarassment to my kids anymore!

My Program:
I am not following any particular diet plan; I am just being more aware of my portion sizes and I am learning to stop eating when I am not hungry anymore. I am also a member of the American Volkssports Association and we do walking events--usually 10K walks for IVV credit and/or different awards as well. It's a lot of fun and my daughter also is a member. I also joined a gym to learn how to strength train properly and do cardio as well. I still like to walk around the different state parks as well as use my Walk Away The Pounds DVDs. I also still use my Fluidity Bar to do my stretching routine.

Personal Information:
I am a widowed mother of three and I live in Anderson, Indiana. I currently work for a company as a life/health insurance agent.

Other Information:
My youngest child and I recently started studying the Go Jo Ryu style of Karate. We really enjoy it, too.
