I'm a sixty plus granny who likes doing crosswords, but not cryptic ones!, I hate them! I also like reading novels and trying to write them in my spare time. I also like gardening and country walks.

In the meantime 196 is my short term goal.

My Program:
I'm watching what I eat and trying to eat healthily as opposed to just counting calories but I'm doing that too. I'm also doing a small amount of exercise regularly to keep my joints supple as I suffer from arthritis.

I live in Crawford, Scotland with my husband Iain. We've been together for 37years now.
I have two sons and their partners plus a daughter who sadly passed away last year.
I also have two grand sons, four granddaughters and one great grandson.

My dear Sally, thank you for the thoughtful SparkGoodie and the kind words. If I am at all patient it may be a sign of resignation. This is my second go-around with a child who defies her family and makes bad decisions. My daughter did things too (no drugs, but running away, screaming obscenities, et al) and I really had to learn the lessons then. Now it seems my time to pass them on to my daughter - and perhaps some of the members of the team as well. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.

It's good to see your status updates of continued exercise since it means you are safe; I don't know about miles or kilometers but in my book you are close to the newest upheavals in Europe and I worry. Stay safe, my friend. Hugs, Carol

I loved your latest post of a paranormal story. Although my husband and I have both steeped ourselves in stories of ghosts and the history not taught in schools, so to speak, neither of us had heard about the Romans making the trek across the Atlantic so long ago. (We've seen the rock glyphs showing the ancient Egyptians made it a lot farther back but not the Romans.)

I am a 67 (nearly 68) year old grandmother who also loves doing crosswords and not the cryptic ones so I understand your preferences. Have a great visit in Texas and thanks again for your wonderful story.
