Sally, I think there is about an 8 hour difference between Scotland and the West Coast time zone (where I live) in the U.S.
My first husband was from Norwich, England and his mother's family was from Inverness, Scotland so I'm a little familiar with the differences between here and there, although it's second hand. I have Scottish heritage as well and always thought I'd like to visit, I doubt that will ever happen though.
It's been nice chatting with you on the Veggies & Blooms Gardening team emoticon

Thank you for stopping by my page to look at my pictures. The hummingbird picture was taken last winter just before we moved. Hummingbirds usually migrate south where it's warmer but if there is a food source for them they sometimes will stay. Once you start feeding them though you have to keep it up because there aren't any flowers in the snow for them to feed from. It got so cold that the nectar was freezing so I started bringing the feeder in at night and I cut and taped an oven mitt over the glass part of the feeder during the day. When we moved in January I left the feeder and instructions for the people who bought our house. They promised to continue filling the feeder once we were gone. We now live in Oregon and there also are hummingbirds here, I have another feeder set up outside our window so maybe I can take some more pictures for you to show your husband. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Sally,
It looks like we're the newest 2 members of the Veggies and Blooms Gardening team. I thought I'd drop by your page and say hello. I enjoy reading too, it looks like your interest is maybe in paranormal books? I like all kinds of fiction. I thought about joining a book team here but haven't found one that's very active. Also, I'm not sure I want to read and discuss something I'm not really interested in. Hope to get to know you better.

I loved your latest post of a paranormal story. Although my husband and I have both steeped ourselves in stories of ghosts and the history not taught in schools, so to speak, neither of us had heard about the Romans making the trek across the Atlantic so long ago. (We've seen the rock glyphs showing the ancient Egyptians made it a lot farther back but not the Romans.)

I am a 67 (nearly 68) year old grandmother who also loves doing crosswords and not the cryptic ones so I understand your preferences. Have a great visit in Texas and thanks again for your wonderful story.
