Sally in the year 2003
The Carlson Family - Ben, Jaimie, Matt, Sally and Jan - on the wedding day of June 3, 2006
Ben's dog Riley in August 2006
I grew up on a Minnesota farm in the 1950's. I am frugal, organized and goal orientated. My most well known skill is focused on Communication. The most important things in my life are my immediate and church family. I have a very strong work ethic. Both my boys have graduated from college now and it is time to focus more on me. Our oldest boy, Matt, married Jaimie in 2006 and received his Masters degree in 2008. Zoey, our first grand baby was 6 years old in September of 2015! Isabella, our second grand baby was 4 years old in October of 2015. Olivia, our third grand baby was 2 years old in September 2015. Grand baby number 4 is due in January 2016. Our youngest boy, Ben, went to heaven Christmas of 2006. He would have loved being an Uncle!
I want to keep my blood pressure and LDL down. I also want to increase my bone density which is on the low end of normal right now.
I am trying to decrease salt in my diet and increase calcium, fiber, magnesium, and potassium.
I walk 3 to 4 miles, 3 times a week.
I live in the sweetheart city of the West, Loveland, Colorado. I love hiking and walking. The western horizon is filled with the Rocky Mountains and I try to enjoy them every day!
We are responsible for the effort, not necessarily the outcome!

Sally for taking the time to read and respond to my NO-excuse NO-vember blog. Your support and encouragement means so much to me. Let's make this holiday season a great time to focus on our nutrition, fitness and inner well-being! Moderation, balance and consistency are the keys to avoiding the holiday pitfalls! Have a blessed Thursday.

James Allen in his book, "As A Man Thinketh II," said, "When our thoughts become pure we have no more desire for impure food." I am working on controlling my thoughts. Not an easy job but with my eye on my Savior Jesus Christ, and help from my SP friends like you, I am improving.
Ezra Taft Benson also said, "'The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in."
God bless us to purify our thoughts with His help.
P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I have missed you.
